Sebastiano Raggi
Computational fluid dynamics and aeroacoustics
Board member of Firmamento
He runs computer simulations of how air and sound move around objects. Since 2026 he has held a research grant in computational aeroacoustics at DICCA, University of Genoa, and he also runs his simulations on CINECA's Leonardo supercomputer.
He led fifteen engineers in the design of a fixed-wing drone, which placed sixth out of 42 universities at the IMechE UAS Challenge 2025. He is a co-author of a 2025 study on the optimal design of aerospikes.
EducationBachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and master's in Aeronautical Engineering (in progress), University of Genoa.
